What are you doing to support trainers and students doing the Covid-19 pandemic?

IVET continues to support schools with delivery and assessment of their VETiS programs throughout the Covid-10 pandemic.

Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (AEST) and our team members are available to answer any of your questions. You can also contact us via email on admin@ivet.edu.au.

In addition, make sure you utilise your dedicated School Relationship Officer (SRO) to discuss any challenges you may be facing.

Important points as schools navigate through this challenging time:

  • IVET’s learning resources are available for all students on the IVET Portal as a digital download or eBook.
  • IVET’s Portal ensures ALL assessment activity can be captured through the portal and teachers will not need to chase students for any paperwork or signatures
  • IVET’s portal allows students to upload videos as evidence of completion of practical tasks. IVET fully supports this method of “observation” during this time

We encourage all teachers to think about how they may adapt their training and assessment methods in order to progress students without compromising the integrity of the learning and/or assessment process and outcomes. IVET allows reasonable adjustments on our assessment tasks, and if this is something you may require, get in touch with your SRO to further discuss the available options.

IVET has a list of units that have competencies that can be achieved by students on their own in their home, without the need for group interaction or necessarily observations that are not easily videoed.
